Hyper Red uses browser storage to run sign-ups and remember your choices. Google Analytics may use cookies only after you accept analytics. Essential services such as Firebase Authentication and reCAPTCHA operate independently of that choice.
Essential storage
- Firebase Authentication keeps an anonymous session in your browser's storage so the site can tell your own entries apart from other drivers' entries.
- Firebase App Check / reCAPTCHA may use browser signals or cookies to reduce automated abuse.
Remembered in this browser
These values generally remain until you clear this site's browser data. They are stored on your device; details submitted with an entry are also sent to Firebase as explained in the Privacy Policy.
- Your analytics choice, so the banner doesn't ask again.
- Time zone display: whether you ticked "Show in my time zone".
- Your driver details (in-game name, Discord handle, optional Steam friend code), used to refill the form. "Not you? Clear details" removes these saved details.
- An unfinished entry, so a half-filled form survives a refresh. It is cleared after a successful entry.
- The time of your last entry, to avoid accidental repeat submissions.
- A copy of the season schedule, so the calendar can show cached information if the live schedule cannot be reached.
Remembered until you close the tab
- Whether the intro has played, so it only runs once per visit.
- A page-transition flag, so the red-line transition finishes on the page you open.
- Race Command test date (organisers only), used to preview another week without changing your computer's clock.
Optional analytics
Google Analytics is initialized only if you select Accept analytics. It can set identifiers such as _ga to distinguish visitors and sessions and collect page views, browser/device details and approximate location. If you decline, the sign-up, roster and calendar can still work. Cookie names and lifetimes may vary as Google changes its services.
Changing your choice
On the main site, use Cookie settings in the footer to change your analytics choice. If you withdraw consent after accepting, the site reloads to stop new analytics activity; cookies already placed may remain until you delete them in your browser. You can also clear this site's browser data through your browser settings.
What we do not use
We do not run advertising, checkout or payment features on this site. The site does not currently detect browser Global Privacy Control signals; use the in-site analytics choice to manage optional analytics.
Managing cookies in your browser
Beyond the in-site Cookie Settings control above, you can also block or delete cookies directly through your browser. Blocking essential storage may stop entries or Race Command from working correctly.
