Conformance status

Status: Partially compliant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA.

"Partially compliant" means some parts of the content don't yet fully conform to the standard. Our most recent accessibility review was a manual self-assessment completed September 2026. See Known Limitations and How We Evaluate below.

Known limitations

Below is a description of known limitations we're aware of. Listing something here doesn't mean it will never be fixed — it means we haven't fixed it yet and want to be upfront about it.

  1. Video captions and transcripts: the onboard race video is muted and decorative, and has no captions or transcript. It can be paused, and it does not play automatically when your device asks for reduced motion.
  2. Circuit outlines: the circuit drawings, including the animated car lapping them, are decorative and hidden from screen readers. The circuit name, length, corners and location are always given in text next to them.
  3. Race pass tilt: on some Android phones the race pass tilts slightly as you move the phone. It is decorative and switches off with reduced motion.
  4. Live grid updates: the grid refreshes as drivers enter. Screen readers may announce these changes while you are reading the grid.

We're aware of these and will address them as time allows on a volunteer-run project; this statement will be updated as they're fixed.

Preparation of this statement

This statement was prepared on September 24, 2026 and updated on September 26, 2026. We review it when we make significant changes to the site.

How we evaluate accessibility

This statement was prepared through a manual review of the site's source code and structure, checking for semantic HTML, ARIA labeling, keyboard focus handling, and color contrast against WCAG 2.2 Level AA. It has not been evaluated by a third-party auditor or tested with assistive technology hardware/software, and conformance has not been formally certified. This process is an internal self-assessment and is not tied to a specific regulatory framework.
